Being fairly new to the world of nailpolish, I tend to get all tangled up in collection names and dates (exacerbated by the fact that, as an Antipodean, seasons are reversed here). I went looking for details and dates to clear up my confusion and I thought I'd share with everyone else.

This is specifically referring to seasonal collections, not celebrity tie-in like Opi's Katy Perry, Serena Williams or Justin Bieber collections. I also skipped crackles as I'm totally not interested in them.

If there's anything I've missed, feel free to add in the comments and I'll edit it in. If I get time I'll go back and add the non-seasonal collections as well.

OPI

Spring:
* Texas, already released.
* Femme de Cirque Softshades, delicate neutrals and nudes, already released.
* Nicole by OPI - Liquid Metals, four foils, already released.

Summer:
* Ahoy, Me Hearties - six pastels and a silver shatter, due May. (Review pt 1 and review pt 2)
* Nice Stems limited edition, four pinks, due June.

Fall:
* Touring America (or see bottle renders at Scrangie)

China Glaze

Spring:
* Anchors Away, already released (and I totally recommend the Sea Spray greyed-out blue; it's amazing both in colour and in formulation).

Summer:
* Island Escape - primary and secondary colours, due May.

Zoya

Spring:
* Intimate, mostly greens, purples and blues, already released.

Summer:
* Sunshine, 6 (mostly bright) shimmers.
* Summertime, 6 bright cremes.
* Mod Mattes, 3 bright mattes (2 cremes, 1 shimmer).

Color Club

Spring:
* Alter Ego, 12 pastels and purples, including duochromes. Already released. May be marketed as two half-sets, "Keep it Under Cover" and "Reveal Your Mystery".

Summer:
* Wicked Sweet, 7 fruity neons, mostly creme - scented, too. Already released.
* Starry Temptress, neons, mostly non-sparkly glitter, plus a glitter topcoat. Not sure of release status.

Rescue Beauty Lounge

Spring:
* Iconic/Ironic, purples, browns, near-blacks. Already released.

Essie

Spring:
* Spring 2011, slightly more daring than normal for Essie. Probably already released.

Illamasqua

Spring:
* Toxic Nature

Nubar

Spring:
* Spring Garden, 8 pastels with hidden shimmer plus a glitter topcoat.

I'm particularly interested in Opi's Ahoy Me Hearties (I'm going to try to get the full collection, but I'm especially interested in the grungier colours) and I think I'm going to pick up the dark brown creme in the Texas collection. The grungy colors in OPI's fall collection look neat, too, though many other brands did grunge a year ago.

ARGH HELP NOW I WANT ALL THE COLOURS.

Hi, all. I'm the other mod, because I'm an enabler and a bad influence. My online name is Sorcha, and I live in the Pacific NW. Lately, I've really gotten into doing my nails. I now have a rather large plastic tub of polishes (I especially love Zoya and Essie, and hurray for fast-drying top coats!) and I have a Konad nail-stamping kit on the way. I made the mistake of ordering it from their main site so it shipped from Singapore, so I'm having to wait a while. I like makeup but generally don't bother - my workplace is really casual.

Recently my hair stylist and I tried an experiment to induce curl in my hair via product and twirling - my hair is generally as straight as Mitt Romney, but it's gotten a bit of wave to it thanks to the anti-seizure meds I started about a year and a half ago. This experiment did not work. I am trying to decide whether I want to get a perm or just use rollers when I'm feeling ambitious. I spent $50 on the damn product, I feel like I should use it, you know? On the bright side, since she took some weight out of my extremely thick hair, it's got more volume.

(I was going to do this yesterday but I went to bed blindingly early and didn't get online at all.)

Space Cadet is a glitter polish that looks gorgeous in the bottle, shifting through a purply-green spectrum.

Unfortunately, it goes on streaky and uneven, and even after three coats it didn't look any better. I actually took it off right away, and I try to use polish remover as little as possible. (Though I've got some coming from Zoya that looks much better than the Cutex I'm using now.)

I'm thinking that this polish might work just fine laid over a solid color to give it some sparkle. It still gives that lovely shifty effect, but the coverage is so weak and the background color comes out looking like when kids paint and rinse a bunch of colors off their brushes in one cup of water.

I also have It's Not Rocket Science and Halley's Comet from the same line, but I don't hold out much hope of them looking better. I may get some cheap fake nails to test them out on before using them.
